This album has no particular theme other than Being Myself. Indeed, most of the songs are in one way or another about me. For example, Garage Band is about my experience with my own band in the sixties. Unusually, I haven't included any covers of other songs.

The cover showing a clown (me!) was generated by Google Gemini AI 2.5, under my direction.

Thanks as usual to my best friend and partner Mel Williams for encouragement and support, especially for listening patiently to the endless initial mixes!

*****

I mostly play my Taylor 514-C steel string acoustic, with occasional lead breaks on my Aria nylon string acoustic, both through a single Rode NT2A microphone. I play a Fender Jazz Bass direct into my Scarlet 4i4 audio interface. The drums come out of a Alesis SR16 drum box and occasionally through Cubase Groove Agent, via my MIDI interface . Everything else (strings, flutes, sax, etc) is from a Roland JUNO-D keyboard synthesizer. The album was recorded on Cubase 14 Pro.

The album was recorded in my home studio in Somerset West between February 2025 and August 2025.
