This CD covers the year 2009, one rich in broken hearts and treachery. El Lamento is a tribute to a woman who had lying and cheating down to a fine art. In the original version of the song I included a gunshot at the end of the El Lamento track! Apart from that it was actually quite a pleasant period, although only the first song gives any hint of good times. It was during this period that I did my first Robben Island swim.

The album cover is of a Western film set in Almeria, Spain, which I visited in October 2006. It is well-known for its spaghetti Westerns, possibly where "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" was filmed!
