Graphic Equaliser
This album is marked by a return to more cheerful songs, in particular Oliver & Wendell and Only One I've Got. The more romantic songs are dedicated to my partner Mel Williams who provided the inspiration.
These songs were mostly recorded between August and December 2016 in the my studio in our home in Somerset West. I am playing my Taylor acoustic guitar, my favourite spanish guitar and my Fender bass. You can hear some strings on Sing It Soon, provided by my Roland JUNO-D keyboard. The drums are provided by a Boss drum machine (not programmed). I don't use any MIDI either.
I have included two Jack Johnson covers that I originally recorded in 2006 but never bothered to put on an album until now.
The cover picture is me sitting in the garden of our home in Somerset West.
