This album covers the period 2006 and early 2007 and was my first experience of digital recording using Cubase, a move that was long overdue. It was also my first album since spending almost two years recording with Beverly Rinkwest, and represents close to two years of work.
This was my Spanish period, having been to Spain briefly in October 2006 and loved it. As a result of this trip, I had planned to buy a motorbike (which I did) and tour Spain in the summer of 2007 (which I didn't), as described in Cross That Line.
Funny enough, most of the songs are based on real events.
There are two cover songs: Belle is by Jack Johnson and Stop This World is by Diana Krall.
