The Web Audio API
Chart the frequency and time domains of a sound via Fourier Analysis.
Help Notes
First, select your tone or tune and the frequency plot parameters. Then, click Start Animation.
Next, click on one or both of the green buttons to plot either a time or a frequency domain.
Now start the MP3 music player
You can stop the plots at any time (red button) in order to freeze them for better viewing. To start a new plot change the tone and/or parameters and click Start Animation again.
The notes and chord were recorded from my guitar using Garageband and converted to MP3. They give very poor frequency results.
Note the difference between white noise and brown noise: white noise has a flat frequency spectrum whereas brown noise decreases in power by 12dB/octave.
