I have been programming since 1971 (starting with Fortran IV), moving on through C, C++ and Java. When the Internet opened up I started developing web sites in Cold Fusion, and back-end systems (for credit card processing) in Java and MySQL.

In 2000 I wrote the original version of the EasyPay web site www.easypay.co.za, as well as the credit card processing system that handled the payments, which ran for over ten years. I continue to work in the web space with both PHP and Java, with an emphasis on the Web Audio API (Javascript).

I went through a phase of writing software for the Raspberry Pi. I use my own C libraries for reading various sensors (temperature, humidity, light, etc.) and store the data on a MySQL database on the Pi. I connect these to the Internet using servers written in Javascript and node.js.

These days I am content to keep my website mobetta.co.za up to date and expanding.
